Full Multi-Vendor Marketplace Built from Scratch

Two live domains. Four vendor stores. One install.

Built a complete multi-vendor marketplace on WordPress Multisite with Dokan Pro. Vendor self-registration, category architecture, and SEO setup across two country domains.

The challenge

The project needed a marketplace where independent sellers could list and manage their own products, across two separate country domains, from a single admin. Nothing off-the-shelf handles that without significant architecture decisions upfront.

Approach

• WordPress Multisite configured to serve two domains from a single install
• Dokan Pro set up for full vendor management: registration, store pages, product listings, commission structure
• Elementor used for front-end customization across homepage, category pages, and vendor store templates
• WooCommerce as the commerce backbone with custom category taxonomy across 9 product categories
• RankMath installed and configured from day one: meta for all products, categories, and pages, plus sitemap cleanup
• Product schema verified active on all 48+ products via RankMath WooCommerce module

• 2 — live marketplace domains from one install
